Water Aerobics & Misc Chatter

Yay I LOVE water aerobics!! I have never enjoyed working out before. WOW....I am amazed. So I went last night (Tues) night for the 1st time and really liked it. (Can ya tell??) I woke up this morning a little more stiff than usual and sore. It's ok though because that just tells me that it is helping! I am excited to go again tomorrow night! It will be so much easier to "make time" to go now that I know how enjoyable it is. There is no breaking a sweat or muscles hurting while exercising. And on top of all that the rest of the "class" was very welcoming and friendly. Just going the 1st time is what I was most nervous about as I am not exactly the most outgoing person. Everyone was nice and made sure I understood what to do. I am very happy that I took the step to go forward with joining!!

Not much else happening...just trying to help Tanner hang in there for 3 weeks and 2 days longer!! He is so close but feels so far away. This year has been a little tougher on him since it is more "serious" work than playing. He does well just has a few issues to work out. Overall I am proud of him and he gets good grades. He is particapting in his 4th race Fri night with his school. His goal next year is to particapate in all of them. He really enjoys running in them. Last Sat he ran in the Zarrow Run and was the 4th person across the finish line for the 1K fun run. His time was 4 mins 58 secs!! He was in 1st place until the last few yards when he just didn't have the breath to keep going and had to slow down a little. He was so proud, as was his Mommy!! Of course of all races this was the one I didn't take the camera! I will be sure to Fri night and maybe he will do good. This one is the 1 mile so we will see. I am proud of him for wanting to be fit, we really talk to him about it! His dream is to be an NFL football player when he grows up, so enforcing exercise now is pretty big for that dream!

Logan got his 3 year pics done a week or so ago and we got them back...here are a few of the cute pics he took! It was so hard as I loved them all!!

4 Weeks Left and Counting

There are 4 weeks left of school for this year. My oldest will be moving on up to the 3rd grade! Not sure what to think of that, still is hard to believe that I have a child that old! He is excited for summer, I don't even have to ask him!

This weekend wasn't nearly as busy or eventful as the last few have been, which was nice. I am still just as wore out but taking care of kids and cleaning house does that to me!! It was nice to be more home bound than we have been. I wanted to go to the park or something today but was a little afraid to because I thought it was "supposed" to rain. It would look like it was going to rain and then the sun would come out. It did this the whole day! Oh well I was able to get things done at home and just have a low key time.

Time for another week but on a plus side I am excited to get to water aerobics this week!! My goal is to start tomorrow evening!!

Joined A Gym

Well I did it!! I joined a gym so that I can start taking water aerobic classes!! I am so excited to get started (once I get pasted the nervousness of the 1st time) and hope to soon see or feel so great results!

But before I can attend a class I have to buy the dreaded "fat" swimming suit! I am using it as motiviation to not have to wear it long cause I need a "smaller" size. I am trying to stay really positive about all of this so that I do well with it. I have joined a gym before and it didn't get too far but this time I plan to stay with it. So today I am off to make that purchase and be ready to attend class Mon evening!!

I have to give the credit for helping me make this last step to actually joining to my wonderful "Bro". I was texting him the other day and he was talking about how he was joining a gym and gonna get "buff". I figured after all he had been through the last 4 years and he is taking the steps now to better himself, that there is no reason I couldn't. So thanks "bro" for that last shove to get this done!!!

I also am motivated by Mom....she would be so happy and proud that we both are doing this for ourselves!! I have come to terms with if I don't take care of me, who is?? Mom was always into exercising and trying to be healthy. I can just hear her words if I could call her and tell her that I joined and am going to take those classes!

So I am dedicated to this...not only for me but for Mom and my "bro"! I hope when I see him in July that I will have lost some pounds and toned some muscles. Now off to shop for a swimming suit!!

Allergies!

Man oh man have I been suffering for a day now!! Allergies started bothering me all of a sudden just before bed Mon night, kept me up most of the night and all day today! It has really made me feel rotten. No allergy medicine is helping...ugh!! Anyway....had to gripe about that for a minute...I feel better now!

I have had a relaxing evening finally!! Hubby had to work late, Tanner was outside playing with friends, Logan went to bed at 6:45 pm!!! I did a little picking up, dishes, load of laundry, applied a clay mask to my face, talked to my Aunt on phone....had a nice evening! I have been needing some slower paced, quiet time for a little while now, so it was very nice! I am now ready for bed but felt the need to get on here and ramble for a minute! I am really getting into blogging...can ya tell??

I have been trying to make some concrete plans for going back "home" to CO for awhile this summer! I am so so ready to go back and be with family for awhile.

On another note...baby Stellan did really well with his surgery today! I did wear an orange shirt in honor of him as well! Hope on over to MckMama to see what his happening with Stellan and let her know you are praying for them!

Busy Weekend

This weekend was pretty busy for me but it was nice. I still am working on trying to slow down but it is quit a challenge for me! I am trying to find the balance with my fibromyalgia and being OCD about my house. I used to always be able to keep up with the house, take care of the kids and not be stressed out....not so much now! I can't get it together at all lately it seems to me. Having fibromyalgia is hard cause I can't do all the things in a day that I used to. I want to still do those things but my energy and muscle pain makes that really hard. So anyway, I am working on that...

The weekend started with Fri being Logan's 3 year old pic day. He did a really good job with them, I was very proud since he has always been very difficult to take pictures of. This is the outfit and maybe even one of his smiles he did, its a for sure "Logan face"!

The rest of the day was spent shopping and picking up things from Craigslist (I love finding good deals on there!!) Logan got this...
Well the frame which is kind of hard to see in this picture. It is blue metal headboard and footboard for twin size bed. We shopped for his Cars sheets that you see. After I got it all made, he just had to get in it and pretend to sleep! The other thing we also got was
And even though it was raining off and on all day, he still had to try it out. You can see his little one in the background. I have been wanting to get him a bike because he loves riding his little one but is kind of hard cause it is getting little and has no brakes. This one was a crazy deal that I could not pass up! He didn't know how to use the brakes and even kept wanting to push back for whatever reason at first. But Big Brother was there to help him out!
That was all just Fri! (See how I am tired?) Sat was spent at home all day doing the usual cleaning and laundry for me. Hubby hung out at home as well. That evening all 4 of us and my SIL, her friend, and niece all went out to eat at this awesome Chicago based restaurant. It was a pretty good time considering the little ones were really hungry then by the time our food came they were done with sitting at the table. All in all was a nice time! I love being with family so just enjoyed being together!

Then today was hanging out at home all day as well. I tried to take it easy, Hubby was even constantly reminding me but it didn't work too well. I would try to sit but then get bored and get up to do something. When you are a Mom there seems to always be something to do! It was a nice but busy (at least for me even if it was my own fault).

Please also keep Baby Stellan and Gavin in your prayers! They are still in the hospital dealing with sicknesses of their own! Poor little guys...keep them and their families in your thoughts and prayers!

Putting me first??

I have been kind of quiet and keeping to myself lately...and doing lots of thinking. It started over the weekend when it was mostly me and the boys....I don't do well with being alone...AT ALL!! Yeah I had the boys and my niece to keep me busy but for some reason when I am alone with them then I do lots of thinking and start feeling lonely. It is really hard to explain. Some of it comes from not being able to talk to my Mom daily, I just have not been able to fill that emptiness yet. Just knowing that I have not been able to get over talking to her everyday and it is going on 3 years, bothers me in itself.

So see the snowball effect here...so with all this thinking I have decided to maybe put myself a little more first. Of course noone will come before my boys and Hubby but after that....like maybe go for a walk before stressing about the dirty dishes in the sink or laundry that needs folded. Part of what bothers me is that I would like to be more active in losing weight and taking time to do things that I enjoy. I have decided to take some advice from other parents in things such as once the kiddos are in bed to not do anymore housework and just relax, do blogging, put music on my ipod...whatever sounds fun at that time! That along with making the time to go walking in the evening or mornings should really help me to feel better overall.

I have really been thinking alot about Mom, trying to find a way to have happy memories without my heart feeling heavy. I am thinking maybe I will put together a post of happy or special memories that I have of Mom. That may help me to just have to focus on that for awhile. But for now I am going to look into making the evenings work so that I can go walking and have time to do fun things once Logan is asleep.

Not Me! Monday...Weekend Review

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what everyone else have not been doing this week.

Please continue to keep MckMama and her family in your prayers as Baby Stellan is still in the hospital with his heart issue.

It is Not Me that now has a 3 year old!! My baby most certainly is NOT that old already!!

It is Not Me that is too tired to think of what I did not do this last week.....sorry.

My weekend was very busy and action packed! Hubby had a friend come visit from CO for a few days, so me and the boys were hanging out together most of the weekend.

Fri my friend, who also babysits Logan for me, had a mini party for Logan and a mini Easter party. I was at her house all day helping with those activities. It was alot of fun. Logan got a Cars cake and thought it was neat. We also helped the kids color eggs and then do an egg hunt for them. They all had a really good time.

Sat I had my niece for the day. That day started with Tanner running in the "fun run" for the "Fit for Fun" race. He really feels good about himself for participating in those races. He ran it with his school, it was in support of PE programs for the area elementary schools. He was proud to have finished it by himself in 11 mins 09 secs. Here is the proud runner...

I am very proud of my "active" child!! He is helping motivate me...isn't that a little backwards?? Oh well...whatever works right??

Sat afternoon me and the 3 kids went to the mall to shop and play in the play area. I was on a mission to find a "Hawaiian" shirt for Logan to get his 3 year old pictures done in. I didn't find one at the mall but did at Target! (Now to just be able to find the right shorts to match) The kiddos had lots of fun, so much fun that it all wore Logan out...

Then that evening after taking my niece back to her Mommy, the boys and I went to Incredible Pizza and had more fun. It was an action packed day! I had NO trouble getting them to sleep that night!!

Sun was a little more laid back...Logan and I left early that morning to go to wonderful Wal-Mart with my SIL and niece. I then brought my niece back to my house for the afternoon. SIL and her friend/roommate came over that evening for some yummy spaghetti.

And that is just all the fun that we had, that doesn't include all that Hubby and his friend did! It was a busy weekend! I then had to clean 2 places today and this evening got to join Hubby and his friend at dinner out with no kiddos!!

See why I am too tired to think of my Not Me's! Plus today is the "official" day that Logan turned 3!! While it seems sad that he is that old, it isn't all bad. He has gotten to be easier to deal with day in and day out so that is awesome!! The last 3 years have been....let's just say "intense"! Glad he has mellowed out....finally!!
